Question: What’s the Difference Between 450 Years and 1 Year?

Answer: Bio-Degradable Time of Plastic vs. Animal Plant Based Drinking Bottles.

For all those plastic water bottles that end up in our landfills it takes approximately 450 years for them to break down.  We were fascinated with the R&D being done in the Netherlands in developing a plant based drinking bottle that breaks down in a year.

According to this article in The Guardian, we could be using  bottles made from the plant sugars of corn, wheat and beets by 2023.  Additionally, they use the plant sugars from sustainable sourced bio-waste so that the rise of plant plastic does not affect the global food supply chain.

We applaud this type of innovation by Avantium to help save our planet.   Ideally, all plastic would be recycled but until then this may be our solution!
