CGM Employee Spotlight: Nik Lukic

What’s your favorite part about your job?
Customer interaction and solving problems. Whether it’s an issue with our equipment or a problem at a customer location, I love puzzles and finding the right solution.

Set the scene. What does a typical Saturday look like for you?
I like to wake up later than everyone else. Fishing in the morning and working on my car in the afternoon. Evenings are spent with family or a night out at the club with friends.

What motto do you live by?
An old saying from my family’s country;  “Само Напред” which means no matter what life throws at you, always push forward.

What’s your go-to snack?
Skittles and Coca-Cola.

Who is your superhero?
My Dad taught me everything I know.  He will always be my best friend.

Tell us about your family.
I live with my parents. I have one younger brother and two older sisters. Both sisters are married, and I have one niece and two nephews. I am fortunate to still have my grandparents on my father’s side still with us. We are all very close.

What is your special/hidden talent or hobby?
I am a highly skilled skier and snowboarder.

Where is your favorite vacation spot? Tell us about it.
Northern Michigan. There is nothing better for me than waking up in the morning to complete silence in the woods. No planes, cars, traffic, or electronic devices.  Just the wind and sounds of nature.

What’s your favorite movie or TV show?
Everybody Loves Raymond.

What’s on your music playlist?
Tons! Rock, Metal, 70s, 80s, 90s grunge, Country, Serbian, and after working here……. Reggaeton…….

What’s the last book you read?
Probably either a Haynes Repair book or an ITW Dynatec Manual.
