CGM Employee Spotlight: Maria Hernandez

How long have you been with CGM?
I have been part of the CGM team for 18 years this February.

What’s your favorite part about your job?
I love working with people. What makes my day is being able to assist customers and vendors with orders and issues. I also enjoy spending time with my co-workers and helping each other get the job done.

Set the scene. What does a typical Saturday look like for you?
My husband and I wake up early and turn the radio on full blast. We sing and dance while making breakfast for the family. We clean up around the house, do laundry, run errands, and shop. In the afternoon, we may go out for dinner, visit family, or have a relaxing evening watching movies with our kids and puppies.

Tell us about your family.
I have been married to the love of my life for 22 years. We have two girls and a son. My oldest daughter, Vanessa, is 21 and is recently engaged to our new “son-to-be” Adrian Martinez. My middle child, Adriana is 20 and loves anything with hair and make-up. My youngest son Adrian just turned 16. He is in high school and will soon be getting his drivers license. We have 3 amazing dogs; Max, Daisy, and Lulu.

What is your favorite movie or TV Show?
I love all movies from comedy to horror. Topping of the list of favorite movies are; The Color Purple, The Ring, Annabelle, 50 First Dates, Pretty in Pink, Grease, and The Breakfast Club. My favorite TV show is easily The Big Bang Theory. I love Sheldon Cooper!

What’s on your music playlist?
I love all types of music – Spanish and English. You can always find it blasting in my car or home. Music keeps me in a good mood!
