The Down and Dirty on Filters
How long has it been since you changed the filter in your adhesive equipment? If you have to stop and think about it, keep reading. Do I really need to change my filters?
YES! Not only are dirty filters gross, but they can also do some serious damage to your machines if left unreplaced. Things like premature wear, decreased performance, unnecessary strain, and eventually, a breakdown can all be caused by a gross and grimy filter. Yuck.
How do I know I need to change my filters?
If you answer yes to the following questions, it is time to change your filters:
- Has your bead size gotten smaller?
- Have you increased the air pressure to deliver the same amount of glue you used to get with less air pressure?
If you can’t tell us the last time you changed your filter, then it is time to change it now.
