CGM Spotlight: Janetssa Chavez

How long have you been with CGM?
1 year
What’s your favorite part about your job?
My coworkers!
Set the scene. What does a typical Saturday look like for you?
I like to sit outside for the first hour or so of my morning. Then I start making myself breakfast and cleaning the kitchen. After that, I just wing the rest of the day. I’m usually doing one of my hobbies, reading comics, drawing, embroidery, painting, planning projects I will never do, playing video games, puzzles, assembling book nooks (check them out on Amazon, 100% recommend), and looking at other hobbies to try out.
What motto do you live by?
No way out but through.
It is what it is.
What’s your go-to snack?
It depends, but currently it’s dried apricots.
Who is your superhero?
I like Storm. As for the actual people in my life, I would say Diana, my best friend and sister. We have been there for each other through thick and thin. I admire her resilience and quick thinking. She always finds a way to move forward and has remained kind even through all of her hardships. She’s the best!
Tell us about your family.
I am thinking of Robert and my pets. We like to chill together. Robert is very patient with me and always down to do anything I suggest, even camping in freezing weather. All of my animals are well-behaved and loving.
What is your special talent?
I can forget what I’m trying to say while saying it.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? Tell us about it.
Back in NC, I loved going anywhere in the mountains. It was a 3-to-6-hour drive depending on where you were going, but the scenery was well worth it. I loved how isolated it felt, with so much more vegetation and wildlife. I enjoyed going on hikes or heading to the river or creek to listen to the water and see what animals came by.
What’s your favorite movie or TV show?
I don’t have a favorite but here is a short list of movies I recommend: Fried Barry, Glorious, The Dark and the Wicked, Mandy.
What’s on your music playlist?
Here is a list from my recent jam session: Nobody’s Clown (Los Yesterdays), Ride or Die (Duran Jones), Gotterdammerung (Zeal and Arbor), Preso (Fruko) and anything from Keygen Church.
What’s the last book you read?
I am currently reading S. by J.J. Abrams. It’s such a fun read so far and it’s interactive. There are codes and documents tha come with the book that you will need to use that really help you get immersed into the story.
