CGM Spotlight: Barbara Hurley
How long have you been with CGM?
I was with Gluefast for 6 years and it’s coming up on 1 year with CGM after the acquisition!
What’s your favorite part about your job?
Honestly, working with the amazing employees at CGM, especially Tracy.
What motto do you live by?
Never regret anything. Learn from it and become better for it.
What’s your go-to snack?
Ice cream without a doubt.
Who is your superhero?
My son Michael. He has overcome so much in his short life and he continues to make great progress, despite his disabilities. I am so proud of all he has accomplished and I know he will crush anything that is thrown at him in the future.
Tell us about your family.
I have 3 amazing kids:
Alyssa, 28, who is married to Vincent. She not only works at an HOA, but also started her own business teaching CPR and life saving techniques. They are hoping to start a family soon!
Caitlin, 21, who works with her sister at the HOA and also works for her sister teaching CPR. She is an amazing actress as well, and performs in numerous plays – my favorite so far being Rock of Ages. She is currently working on Macbeth.
Michael, 20, who has conquered so many hurdles in his life. He is still attending High School which he will continue until he is 21. He attends the HS Workplace Training Program there, where he interns at different positions. After his first internship, they loved him enough to hire him on as an employee! He now works at Panera and loves it!
Salvatore, my BF who is amazing and supportive and definitely my partner for life.
Martin, my brother, who without him, my kids and I would never have had the life we have today. He is the most supportive, helpful and loving brother and I am so lucky to have him.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? Tell us about it.
Hawaii – I’ve been there once many years ago, and visited 4 islands. It was my Grandfather’s favorite spot in the world and I felt his presence when I was there. I would love to go again.
What’s on your music playlist?
I listen to Country (Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs and many others), Pop and 1980’s classics (Pat Benatar, Journey, AC/DC, Billy Idol -who btw, was my childhood obsession and I have tickets to see him for the FIRST TIME in August!!)
