Chicago Glue and Machine will be closing at 12:00pm on Friday June 2nd for the 4th of July Holiday. We will reopen the morning of Tuesday, June 6th .

The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th, however it was not signed until August.
Fireworks were John Adams idea.
Americans spend 1 billion on fireworks each July.
George Washington was known to celebrate the holiday with rum.
Americans eat 155 million hot dogs on the 4th of July.
While the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, the celebration was not started until 1777 when John Adams made it a celebration.
