April 11 Marks the 14th Annual “Good Deeds Day”

We are inspired by how this day came to be and thought we would share some information we learned!

Good Deeds Day founder Shari Arison said “I believe that if people will think good, speak good and do good, the circles of goodness will grow in the world. Good Deeds Day has become the leading day of giving and this year individuals, school children, students, soldiers and employees from many businesses are joining in for the annual Good Deeds Day with the aim of doing a good deed for others.”

If you are having a bad day, want ideas of how you or your company can contribute, or just want to gain some inspiration check out ww.good-deeds-day.org .   Here you can read and share stories from all over the world of how even small gestures can make the largest impact.

They offer ideas both big and small, for one person or an entire company to make an impact.

The website encourages you to share your stories  and we are proud to celebrate a few of ours:

The picture above is a care package we donated to our local food pantry:  Itasca Cares-Lending a Local Hand.

Another local charity we like to support with back to school supplies in backpacks, bicycles, and holiday presents for children is  http://shelter-inc.org/

Our gratitude to our Co-Founder and Vietnam veteran Irwin Katz shined through when we packed up care packages for friends and family of those serving in the armed forces.

For the purpose of promoting the day we are proud to share things we have done to be a good corporate citizen and bring attention to credible charities.
